IIDEMIC Erasmus+ Dissemination Conference Underway in Kakamega, Kenya
The IIDEMIC Erasmus+ Dissemination Conference is currently taking place at Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology in Kakamega, Kenya, from 3 to 6 August 2026.
The conference brings together members and stakeholders of the Erasmus+ KA220 project, “Inclusive and Innovative Digital Education for Migrant Communities in Kenya and Somalia (IIDEMIC).” The project is funded by the European Education and Culture Executive Agency under Project No. 101128908.
Held under the theme, “From Exclusion to Opportunity: Institutionalizing Inclusive and Sustainable Digital Education for Migrant Communities,” the conference marks the culmination of the European Union-supported IIDEMIC project implemented in Kenya and Somalia.
The conference provides an important platform for consortium partners and other stakeholders to share project results, exchange experiences and good practices, and explore sustainable approaches to improving access to inclusive digital education for migrant communities.
Participants will also engage with communities, discuss their educational needs and challenges, and identify practical ways to sustain and expand the project’s digital learning initiatives beyond the project period.
The conference is hosted by Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology in collaboration with the IIDEMIC consortium.
