Online Orientation Session for In-service Teachers!

Mogadishu University hosted an online session on December 1, 2025, introducing the Inclusive and Innovative Digital Education for Migrant Communities in Kenya and Somalia (IIDEMIC) project. This crucial session was joined by more than 100 teachers registered for the online courses via video conference.
The meeting’s objective was to raise awareness of IIDEMIC and train participants on using the project’s new online learning platform.
During the session, participants were given a live demonstration on how to sign in and navigate to the https://moodle.iidemic.org/ platform. Teachers learned key steps such as browsing available courses, tracking learning progress using the dashboard, studying and submitting quizzes.
The event successfully reached its goal, and attendees expressed enthusiasm for the opportunity to develop soft skills and integrate digital tools in their teaching. Furthermore, attendees indicated they felt confident in studying the courses, accessing materials, and resetting passwords.
