- Associate Professor of Analytical Chemistry in the Department of Chemistry, KU with 25years teaching experience, and over 10years administrative experience as Director Center for International Programmes Collaborations, University- Industry Partnerships and others.
- Conducts research in Analytical Chemistry in alleviating malnutrition employing indegeneous fruits and vegetables.
- Recepient of over 16 local and and international grants, published over 40 refereed articles and served as an editor for several professional periodicals.
- Successfully supervised 5 Phd and more than 20 Masters graduates, mentors High school, undergraduate and graduate students and serves as internal and external (University of Johannesburg, University of West cape, MMUST JKUAT)
- Associate member of Royal Society of Chemistry, Organizing Secretary for Kenya Chemical Society and treasurer for the Kenya Federation of UNESCO Clubs, Centers and Associations.
- Has participated in conferences and workshop at both local and international arenas (USA, Canada, Japan, Hungary, Turkey, Poland, Norway, Netherlands, Germany, Tanzania, Ethiopia, Italy, United Arab Emirates,)
- Achievement: -Successful collaborative research with staff and students in Chemistry, Education and Agriculture Departments of Kenyatta University, local institutions (USIU, JKUAT, MMU, KEMRI, KNATCOM, KALRO, Chuka, Embu, MKU, County Governments), and International institutions (USA, Canada, Japan, Turkey, Poland, Germany, Italy, UK, Linnaeus University-Sweden).
- Promotes collaborative projects:-Chemical security and safety; Entrepreneurship among youth in Kenyan Counties; STI Governance in Kenya; Participation of women and girls in the STEM field; Coordinating study abroad program and; community services to promote the girl child’s academic excellence.
