
Dr. Sümeyye Ocal Dorterler is a Lecturer at Dumlupınar Vocational School of Higher Education. She earned her MA from the Institute of Social Science at Yıldız Technical University in 2018 and leads initiatives to develop both undergraduate and postgraduate academic programmes in the field of child development. Her academic work includes a master’s dissertation examining the impact of a STEM programme on the scientific process skills of 60-66 month old children (Öcal, 2018), and she has co-authored studies on topics such as the relationship between preschool teachers’ creativity and job satisfaction (Güven, Akay, & Öcal, 2021), factors affecting preschool teachers’ vocational alienation (Mutlu & Öcal, 2021), kindergarten and first-grade teachers’ views on school readiness (Erkan et al., 2021), and the development of a belief scale regarding educational technologies for preschool teachers (Dağal et al., 2022). She is a researcher in IIDEMIC project.
