Mr. Muktar Mohamed is a researcher for the IIDEMIC project and a senior lecturer at the Faculty of Economics and Management Science at Red Sea University.
He is a Visionary entrepreneur, a researcher, and a dedicated philanthropist known for founding Star Group of companies, a sustainable manufacturing company. After earning a degree in BSc in Applied Accounting from Oxford Brookes university, he worked with a leading Aviation company in Kenya and Somalia before setting up his manufacturing plant in Puntland. Beyond business, he is also passionate about education, which led him to study two undergraduate degrees and two master’s degrees from leading universities in Kenya. As a chartered accountant, he also has an audit firm which operates in Puntland to help the companies in showing whether their financial statement represent their true affairs.
