Abdiwale Sheikh Mohamed

Abdiwale Sheikh Mohamed is a member of the Faculty of Education and Humanities and also serves as the Director of the Quality Assurance Department at Mogadishu University. He previously served as the Director of the Institute of Languages at the same university.

He holds an M.A. in English Literature from the University of Nairobi and an M.A. in International Relations and Diplomacy from Mogadishu University. He is currently a Ph.D. candidate in International Relations and Diplomacy at Asia e University in Malaysia.

Abdiwale has contributed significantly to language education and teacher development through both teaching and academic leadership. He co-authored English and Somali language modules for in-service and pre-service teachers under the SCOTTPS and Cilmidoon projects. More recently, he contributed to the “Teaching English in a Multilingual Context” course through the IIDEMIC Project.

His areas of expertise include language education, teacher training, international relations, and academic quality assurance. Committed to educational advancement and community engagement, he is also proficient in a number of languages.
